Yes, all CCSU residents must have a Meal Plan. Freshmen are required to select from the Blue Devil Essential or the Blue Devil Essential Plus. Transfer Students and Upperclassmen may choose any meal plan option. You will select your meal plan when you register for on-campus housing.

Yes, we also offer 2 block style plans exclusively to those community members who live off campus. Commuters, faculty & staff also have the option to purchase any of the the resident meal plans should you feel one of those options will better meet your needs.

Resident students will select a meal plan during the housing enrollment process. Commuters, faculty & staff can purchase a meal plan HERE. For questions regarding plans, please contact Residence Life at reslife@ccsu.edu or 860.832.1660.

In our Resident Dining locations, we offer a large variety of Vegan and Vegetarian options. As well as an all vegan servery, available for lunch and dinner. The "Simple Servings" station has menus which exclude milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and gluten from our daily menus. Meal plans are non-transferable and cannot be shared. You are able to use your Flex Dollars to purchase a meal for a guest joining you in one of the Resident Dining Halls. We also accept cash, card, and Blue Chip from non-meal plan holders.

Vending machines are separate from campus dining and accept cash, credit and Blue Chip dollars. Just Baked Vending accepts meal plan dollars as well as all other forms of payment.

You can check your Flex Dollar balance HERE. Flex Dollars expire at the end of each semester.

Flex Dollars come on every Resident dining plan and can be used for purchases at any of our on-campus dining locations where meal swipes are not accepted. Blue Chip is the CCSU campus currency and is accepted like cash or credit at all on-campus dining locations as well as elsewhere on and off campus.

Flex Dollars expire at the end of each semester and do not roll over.

Yes, you can choose from the packages that we offer under "Gifts & More".
